Since incorporating in December 2007, Council has worked with Development Services Division and Corporate Services Department staff to develop a number of bylaws related to the development application and approval processes.
The municipality also uses some Regional District of Central Okanagan (RDCO) bylaws dating back prior to incorporation, when the community was a rural electoral area.
Bylaws are reviewed and updated as needed to ensure they adhere to the latest federal and provincial regulations and meet the needs of the community.
A number of Council policies have also been adopted to ensure the municipality employs best practices, similar to those used in partner municipalities, to ensure the development application permit process runs efficiently and smoothly. |
