At May 13, 2014 meeting, Council adopted the 2014 to 2023 Financial Plan, which contained a 2.95% tax increase in the 2014 Budget. The increase will add $46 to a property tax bill this year, based on an average assessed value of $427,081.

Taxes, and Home Owner Grant applications are due July 4, 2014. Please note, late taxes are charged a 10% penalty effective July 5, 2014.

The 2014 to 2023 Financial Plan contains the:

  • 2014 Budget; and,
  • The 2014 Capital Plan

Both sections outline how much the District of West Kelowna must spend to offer programs and services and maintain and improve infrastructure.

Council's budget considerations included feedback received from the public at an open house held February 12, 2014 at the Westbank Library.
